JIM GORDON

the man you see above is none other then the new commissioner of gotham city, jim godon. he also happens to be barbara's uncle and adoptive father, the only family that she had left after her parents were killed in a car accident a few months ago. she didn't want to move to gotham city, especially since she learned that it would only be herself and her uncle living in the house. since i highly doubt that there will be interested parties, we could say that jim's wife left after the dent incident and took the children away from gotham out of fear, but jim couldn't leave the city unprotected. batman has been declared a public enemy, the one said to be responsible for dent's death, and jim is the only one who knows the truth. enter miss barbara who refuses to believe that the batman is guilty and has recently decided that she is going to do something about this whole mess. so she's adopted the persona of "batgirl" to try and scare the thugs and criminals again. jim is totally oblivious to this fact. but since he knows that not every cop in the city is actually working on his side he worries about his "daughter" as she has come to be, and is constantly checking in with her to ensure that she is alright. i'd really like for someone to pick jim up, because anyone who wants to work as a police officer in gotham needs a boss, and a young girl like barbara needs her father figure to worry and fret over her when this new masked vigilante shows up, especially if people get as nasty with her as they have with the batman.

there are a lot of things that we could discuss when plotting the two of them as well, and jim would be completely open to any other plotting that you wanted to do with him. i'd just really like to see a good, literate, active jim gordon wandering about the site. so, any takers?
